Our Doctrinal Commitments
Heritage Hill Baptist Church gladly stands within the historic Christian faith and the Baptist tradition.
Our Shared Confession
All founding members of Heritage Hill Baptist Church will affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our shared statement of faith.
This document provides the doctrinal foundation around which we will covenant together as a church and helps define the beliefs that shape our worship, discipleship, membership, ministry, and mission.
Our Pastoral Distinctives
Because Pastors are entrusted with teaching God’s Word, guarding sound doctrine, and shepherding the church, we ask them to hold to a fuller set of theological commitments.
In addition to affirming the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, all future pastors, deacons, and staff of Heritage Hill Baptist Church will also affirm:
These statements, however, do not replace Scripture.
Rather, the Bible alone is our final and supreme authority for what we believe and how we live.
Nevertheless, these additional documents are important to provide greater clarity around the theological convictions we expect those who teach and shepherd Heritage Hill to faithfully hold and uphold.
Our aim is to be a church with a clear doctrinal center, meaningful unity among our members, and elders who are deeply aligned in the truths they are responsible to teach and protect.
